Challenges of Father-daughter Incest Survivors: Taboo, Coping and Survival

The issue of incest has been extensively debated for a long time. However, the argument concerning father-daughter (FDI) began in 1980s. Many scholars disscuss factors that contribute to as well consequences abuse. This paper applied Systematic Literature Review (SLR) explore issues and challenges faced by survivors incest, comprising 12 social science articles across 12-year period (2010 July 2022)—the selection papers was done based on thorough processes through Scopus database. Hence, findings revealed FDI received huge attention from experts, specifically terms challenges. situation happens due increasing number incidence especially since world infected COVID-19 at end 2019. majority research qualitative approach conducted European Asian country; yet, only one theory is embedded address issue. In relation FDI, concern taboos (8 articles), coping mechanisms (6 survival (11 articles). As result, this study indicated there are still under-researched pertaning associated notably taboo, mechanisms, survival.
